Maria Sebregondi
Maria Sebregondi co-founded Moleskine after noticing a new category of “tech nomads” while she was traveling with 3 friends who were inspired by culture and design. In 1995, Maria brought the Moleskine brand to Milan. Her story of transforming this simple, historical notebook into a cultural icon of imagination, travel and personal identity, and attaching those values to a company is an invaluable lesson in branding. Currently she is responsible for the Moleskine brand worldwide as the vice president of brand equity and communications.
“We never start thinking about an object. We ask ourselves who the person is that we want to inspire, to address, to profit.”
“Brands are characterized by intangible values which go beyond the single product or the single service, and which are related to intangible, emotional, cognitive experiences.”
